I was in Seattle for work this week and had a little time to visit a shop that sells some of the best looking Porsches for sal e on Autotrader.
I posted the advertisement for this PTS 997 Turbo earlier, but the photos do not do it justice.
The black 997 next to it was delivered in Germany to a U.S. military officer and has never been registered in the U.S., which is cool—but its a Tiptronic.
They also have a 993 Turbo S, which I is a car I had never seen in person before.
Oh, I guess I should mention that there was a LaFerrari behind the 993 Turbo S. Cool, but not my cup of tea.

Very nice blue, too.

The red one has been there for awhile IIRC, you should have made a lowball offer on stale inventory.

Online they have an odd 911 SC that I’m interested in but I couldn’t find it.

They do a lot of consignments, maybe it was off site. They tend to have a very fun inventory, often with optimistic prices, but they are friendly to lookie-loos. I stop by every couple of months just for a browse.
A couple years ago they got in a big collection of relatively ordinary late 50s/early 60s domestic sedans, that interested me a lot for some reason. They must have had 15-20 cars like these, I even took pics of a few - I actually considered buying the Edsel for some reason:

I wonder if this is where I sat in a parsh for my eighteenth birthday.
We had some kind of graduation rehearsal? thing? that only took a half-day, so somehow my best friend and I decided that the afternoon would be best spent finding a Porsche somewhere in Bellevue where I could sit wearing a birthday tiara for maximum parsh, or something. I think we ultimately found a Boxster, but IIRC, the dealership had tiled floors
like this one’s!

There should be an Emerald Paint to Sample car. And you should order it--but wait for the new GT3 Touring.

What a great story!
Also, that 996, with the Aerokit, has your name on it. I bet they will drop the price with the pandemic.

Ehh, not a big 996 fan. I’m broke as hell with no job in sight anyway, so I’m more in the market for “getting hit by a bus,” to be honest.

Sorry.
There’s just...nothing. No one wanted to hire me before this mess, and now I don’t think anyone can hire me with everything on hold. I can never get ahead.

No need to apologize—real talk is good. This whole pandemic is a nightmare and I’m sorry & hope your luck changes soon. I have always enjoyed your writing.

Thanks, man. I’m just ready for the nightmare to be over.
I
also enjoyed the pictures! I guess I’ll have to find Boxster Stef somewhere.
